eHealth Remembers Board Chair Ellen O. Tauscher

SANTA CLARA, CA – APRIL 30, 2019 – eHealth, Inc. (NASDAQ: EHTH) (eHealth.com) marks the passing of the Honorable Ellen O. Tauscher, who had served as the company’s Board Chair since May 2016 and as a member of its board of directors since July 2012.

“Ellen will be sorely missed by all of us at eHealth,” said eHealth CEO Scott Flanders. “She was a remarkable leader whose guidance and counsel greatly benefited our company and investors and it was a great pleasure to work with her. Her command of the issues, strategic intelligence and insight served eHealth well, as they served the nation for many years. Before entering the private sector, Ms. Tauscher had served from January 1997 to June 2009 as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for California's 10th Congressional District. While a member of Congress, Ms. Tauscher served on the House Armed Services Committee, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and as Chairman of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Strategic Forces. From June 2009 to February 2012, when she retired from government, Ms. Tauscher served as Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Affairs.

Ms. Tauscher was born in 1951 in Newark, New Jersey. Before moving to California and entering politics, Ms. Tauscher enjoyed a career on Wall Street in the 1970s.

Ellen O. Tauscher’s life and accomplishments are being commemorated by leaders in both the public and private sectors, including former Secretary of State Hilary Rodham Clinton and Senator Dianne Feinstein.
